THEFT PROTECTION CERTIFICATE

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
YOU ARE ENTITLED TO BE REIMBURSED YOUR HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE EXCESS, UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $500, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

1. You must be signed up to a Customer Service Agreement that is not in a holding-over period.
2. You must establish to ADT Security’s reasonable satisfaction that when the intrusion took place:
2.1 Your alarm, including all alarm detection devices, was in good working order;
2.2 Your alarm was turned on;
2.3 All doors, windows and other points of entry/exit to your premises were securely locked; and
2.4 The intruder entered and/or exited your premises through a point of entry and/or exit monitoring by an alarm detection device.
3. You must not have been or be in breach of your Customer Service Agreement with ADT Security at any time.
4. You must file a claim with your insurer and this claim must be approved and paid by your insurer.
5. You must report the intrusion to the police and file a written report.
6. You must provide ADT Security with:
6.1 Copies of all the documentation in relation to your insurance claim;
6.2 A copy of the police report; and
6.3 The original of this Theft Protection Certificate, signed by you attesting to the truth of the above matters within 60 days of the date on which your insurance claim was paid.
7. You acknowledge that:
7.1 ADT Security gives no guarantee or warranty in respect of criminal intrusion;
7.2 The supply of alarm monitoring services to you by ADT Security is an aid to security risk management as the first line of defence against criminal intrusion;
7.3 The supply of alarm monitoring services to you by ADT Security is not intended as a policy of insurance and nothing in your Customer Service Agreement or this Theft Protection Certificate will infer or constitute ADT Security to be an insurer;
7.4 ADT Security reserves the right to reject your claim if any of these terms and conditions are not met to ADT Security’s reasonable satisfaction; and
7.5 ADT Security reserves the right to withdraw or vary the terms and conditions of this Theft Protection Certificate at any time without notice to you.
