Wireless

Control Panel (Hardwired / Hybrid)

The control panel is the brains of your alarm system. It also includes a tamper switch should someone try to 'tamper' with your alarm system. Special buttons are also included that can activate an emergency response with a single press.

Integrated Control Panel, Keypad and Internal Sounder (Fully Wireless)

* In the wireless system, the control panel, keypad and internal sounder are all integrated. Max 85db sound output.

Keypad

The fully programmable LCD display keypads make it easy to understand system messages and makes programming easier too. It enables protected areas to have meaningful names to you e.g Joanne’s bedroom, lounge, front door.

Back-up Battery

The back up battery prevents false activations when the power supply is disconnected due to a power outage from your electricity supplier. ADT's monitoring centre will be able to notify you if your back up battery or wireless device batteries are low and need replacing. Your LCD keypad will also notify you of this situation.

Internal Sounder

Emanates a very loud alarm to all parts of the house.
(typically 120db sound output)

External Strobe / Siren

A strobe or integrated strobe and external siren can be placed on the exterior of the home. This provides a further visible deterrent to ADT window stickers by indicating a residential alarm system is present. Remember ADT’s monitoring centre will already be responding to the alarm activation.

Perimeter Protection (Door Contacts)

Perimeter devices provide your first layer of protection. Contacts are used to secure windows and doors. With an ADT Life Safety Solution, you can switch the alarm on when you are at home during the day or asleep at night. All doors and windows will be secure, and you can move around your house normally without fear of false alarm activation.

Standard: 75mm x 31mm x 22mm
Mini: 44.5mm x 27mm x 17.5mm
Vanishing: 56mm x 28mm x 3.5mm

Motion Detectors

Motion detectors are recommended in an ADT Life Safety Solution as a second layer of protection to your perimeter protection. If an intruder gains entry, it won’t be long before the motion detectors pick up movement and activate an alarm. ADT has a range of hardwired and wireless detectors. There are options for pet environments using detectors which make some allowances for pet movement – though ADT recommends you keep pets in designated areas to reduce pet activations of your alarm.

Combined Smoke and Heat Detectors

Smoke and heat detectors are integral to family safety and are always recommended in home security systems. An ADT monitored smoke alarm has a different siren sound to the intruder alarm, which will help you react in time. Importantly it is monitored 24/7 – regardless of whether your ADT Life Safety Solution is armed or whether or not you or your family are at home. These devices are available in wireless and hardwired options.

Glass Break Detectors

Glass break detectors are recommended if you have large expanses of glass – e.g bifold doors, sliding doors or floor to ceiling windows. Glass break detectors activate by the sound of breaking glass. These devices are available in wireless and hardwired options.

Key Fob

Key fobs are designed for ease of use. Instead of having to key in your code each time you leave or enter your home, you simply press a button to arm and disarm your ADT Life Safety System. They can be used within the home too e.g to arm / disarm your security alarm system from upstairs without using an additional keypad.

The four buttons are for:

1. Stay arming – e.g arm the perimeter protection while you are at home
2. Fully arming the alarm when you leave your home
3. Disarming the alarm when you arrive home
4. Panic / duress button, will set the siren off as well as send a signal to the ADT monitoring centre

Door Chime Feature

Detects and chimes when a door is opened.
