I was grateful for the support I received from ADT Security one late night when I had to enter a dark industrial building on my own to deactivate what thankfully turned out to be a false alarm. The ADT Customer Service Representative stayed on the phone with me the entire time and assisted me to complete an investigation of the site. Being disabled, I felt exposed in the building on my own, especially as I didn’t initially know the cause of the alarm. If there had been an intruder I would have been the worse one off but to know that ADT Security was there to help was reassuring.

While cooking, I burnt some food and set off the smoke detector in my house. Within seconds ADT Security had called me on the phone. Although they were cut off, they persisted and called my mobile phone. After confirming that my wife and I were unharmed, they assisted us to reset the alarm. The professionalism which ADT Security showed was exemplary and I am pleased to have signed up for alarm monitoring with ADT Security.

I had completely forgotten that I was cooking eggs and had let them burn. Thankfully ADT Security responded to my smoke alarm activation and when they couldn’t get hold of me they called the Fire Brigade. It all happened so quickly but luckily ADT Security was able to take control of the situation before the fire caused too much damage.

I had started cooking and then fell asleep. I was woken by a combination of my ringing phone and a beeping smoke
detector. The house was full of smoke and ADT Security was calling to check if I was ok. They were so quick to respond. If it hadn’t been for ADT Security and my smoke alarm I think the outcome would have been much worse not only to my property but to my life as well.

The smoke alarm activated one evening when nobody was home. I would have never known if I hadn’t received a phone call from ADT Security advising me that the alarm had been activated. I rushed home to find I had left a kitchen appliance turned on and I was able to switch it off and prevent any further damage. If it hadn’t been for ADT Security’s monitoring service and the fast reaction time of the Service Response Centre, a fire could have developed and caused serious damage to the family home. I’ve had my smoke alarms monitored by ADT Security for 10 years now and I have never looked back.

Rose is an elderly woman living alone. When she took ill she was able to activate her NevaAlone Medical Alarm. ADT Security was immediately on the phone talking to Rose to check her condition. However, they were cut off, so sensing that something was wrong, quick thinking ADT Security Response Centre staff member Lesia Ellem persisted and kept trying to reach Rose. Eventually she was able to speak to Rose’s friend who was tending to Rose. Although the line wasn’t clear and Rose’s friend was difficult to understand, Lesia could tell the situation warranted extra help. Lesia instructed another ADT Security staff member to call an ambulance and stayed on the line to assist Rose’s friend until ambulance arrived.
Fast, alert and awake, even in the middle of the night!
It took only 7 seconds for the ADT Security Response Centre to respond to an alert when Mr Wilson activated his Medical Alarm. He tried to call Mr Wilson on the telephone but there was no answer. The ADT Security staff member had already read his notes and knew that Mr Wilson suffered from serious health problems. He immediately called the ambulance and Mr Wilson was taken to hospital. On release from hospital, Mr Wilson said if it hadn’t been for his Medical alarm and the fast thinking actions of ADT Security, the outcome could have been much worse.
