Streetwise

Streetwise was developed by ADT to enable councils to create cleaner cities, improve security and to offer other ‘citizen-friendly’ services. Streetwise staff is identifiable by their bright green and blue vehicles and their smart matching uniforms. They clean up spills and litter in streets, open spaces and parks, collect refuse, and control graffiti. In doing so, they help to dramatically improve the look and cleanliness of the inner city.

Through ADT, staff have the ability to stay in radio contact with the Police or the Council if they see problems. As well as providing extra eyes and ears on the streets, Streetwise staff provide a friendly presence by offering people information, sales of emergency raincoats and umbrellas and even parking meter change.

While the primary function of Streetwise is to clean the streets, they also provide a uniformed presence that offers an extra security presence to the inner city.
